Road Housing Update: The developers are working on site updates and plan drawings. NENA will be holding several meetings with the archtects and Plymouth Church Neighborhood Foundation (PCNF) to go over the drawings and building details. Look for a Town Meeting to present the plans early this summer. The City has purchased a parcel of land between two of the private residences and is negotiating easements for new driveways that will allow three of the adjoining rewidents access to the srtreet once the existing alley is removed. Happy New Year! Thank you to everyone who attended NENA's 9th Annual Night Before New Year's Eve Party on December 30th. What a great night for families from all over the area. The DJ's from Kid's Dance were in fine form, the food was great, and the hayrides in the snow were not to be missed. Thanks go out to more than 60 volunteers that helped make this a successful event. More Information. (12/31)

 At
12:06 PM, Sept 26, the Mpls City Council passed a resolution ending
the 19-year old Neighborhood
Revitalization Program. Under
the Mayor's guidance, the Council authorized the creation of
a new City department that will take over all the functions of
NRP, effectively killing the program that supports and funds
all 72 of Mpls' Neighborhood Orgs. In a late tactical move,
the new department was authorized without any structure, function,
staff or cost figures attached (a blank slate). They
also passed a resolution to replace NRP's independent "joint-powers"
Policy Board with yet another City advisory committee. (Updated
