The Primary Election is Tuesday, August 10, 2010
Polls open at 7am and close at 8 pm
August 10 is primary election day here in Minnesota. A primary narrows the field of candidates within a political party and determines who will appear on the ballot in November. Our primary used to be held in September but a recent law changed the date to August so that members of the military extra time to return their ballots.
This is your chance to determine who will represent your political party on the November ballot from Governor to Minneapolis School Board. The 2010 election will be conducted using the traditional voting method, not ranked choice voting.
