NENA Launches a Community Calendar

We are thrilled to announce the soft launch of a Community Wide Calendar!
After months of planning, we are rolling out a new events calendar on our website. The Community Calendar will share community wide events, beyond just those with NENA. We will continue to share NENA events through our events webpage and on our social media pages. The Community Calendar will incorporate events hosted by our partners and broader city and community events inclusive to all.
What does “soft launch” mean? We are a small but mighty team and we want to get this right. We will be closely managing the Community Calendar by sharing events for select partners, in effort to learn and adjust our processes before accepting and sharing additional events with broader partners. We are intentionally launching the calendar in a phased approach to ensure we are able to effectively get information out in a clear and timely fashion. The soft launch is the first phase of the project.
The next phase will include an invitation for additional partners to submit their events for sharing. This will include an event submission form, guidelines, and mutual agreements about events shared on the calendar.
Future phases of the calendar project hope to include additional partners and collaborators, along with a more robust calendar interface.
