Trinity Lutheran Church of Minnehaha Falls Dumpster Rules for the Garage Sale

Want to do some Spring cleaning, but don't know what to do with all of that trash? We are so lucky that Trinity Lutheran Church of Minnehaha Falls is allowing us to use their dumpster during the Garage Sale Day! Trips to the dumpster will be limited to the following:

• 1 vehicle OR 1 trailer (max size 5’x8’)

  • We will only accept items from your vehicle OR your trailer, not both.

Instructions: 

The dumpster will be accessible via the alley entrance at 5219 40th Ave S.  Someone will greet you at the street/alley entrance and take your information (Name, Vehicle Color, Make, Model, and License Plate Number).  Once clear, you will progress towards the dumpster while staying inside the orange cones.  A volunteer will help you load your items into the dumpster.  Exit will be via the alley access on 53rd street between 41st and 40th Avenues.  Once the dumpster is full, we will block off the alley entrance and post on our Facebook page that we will no longer be accepting items.

Restricted Items:

• Hazardous materials

  • Chemicals, Pesticides, Asbestos

• Electronic waste

  • Smartphones, TVs, Computers, Batteries – car and lithium

• Medical waste

  • Pharmaceuticals, Medical needles

• Automotive items

  • Tires, Motor oil, Fuel

• WET Paint

• Appliances containing Freon

  • Refrigerators and air conditioners

• Large Appliances 

  • Dishwashers, Ovens, Clothing Washers/Dryers.

• Yard waste

  • Tree branches, shrubs, and grass clippings.

• Construction waste

  • Concrete, drywall, insulation, shingles, etc
